Irish Students Win Googles Grand Science Prize
All the team at Hi-Tech Training would like to Congratulate Ciara Judge, Emer Hickey and Sophie Healy-Thow from Kinsale Community School, Cork were named the grand prize winner in the 15 to 16-year-old age category for a project which examined the use of natural bacteria to increase crop output. These talented ladies have already scooped the BT Young Scientists 2013.
They were inspired to try and help improve food production, particularly in third world countries, after learning about a famine in the Horn of Africa in 2011.
It is comforting to know that these teenage trailblazers and their like are out there. Innovating Dreaming and creating a new future for the planet and more efficient ways of producing and consuming food and energy.
Well done ladies, enjoy the moment and we are sure there will be many more!
